Hello! I am Brook. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist and I'm honored to be considered to work with you on your therapeutic goals. I have over 16 years of experience working with children of all ages, families, adolescents, and young adults to help address challenges that life may bring including those who have experienced abuse, neglect, and trauma, family stress, and challenges with school-related issues. I have training and experience working with youth who have diagnosis such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, parent-child relational issues, and mood disorders. My professional experience began in community based mental health setting providing attendant care and case management for children with emotional disturbance as well as with at risk youth to help maintain living at home. I have worked in the foster care setting as both an emergency placement care worker and long term care worker, and in the clinical setting to provide both crisis assessment and therapeutic services.

I graduated from Newman University in 2009 with a masters degree in social work following completion of a bachelors degree from Friends University with a degree in human services/psychology and a minor in general music studies in 2003.  In 2017, I obtained my registered play therapy certification, RPT, working with children as young as 3 years and up to young adult age. I also have over 40 hours of specific training in sand tray therapy for both children and adults. Most recently, I obtained by Child Centered Play Therapy certification through the University of North Texas and continue supervision to complete the Child Parent Relational Therapy certification. I am a member of the National Association for Social Workers, and the Kansas Association for Play Therapy. 

I am a life-long Kansan and love spending time at home with my husband, children, and extended family. I have a passion for music and nature both in and out of the office. Most importantly, I look forward to working with you on your individual therapeutic journey.
